Beskrivelse
In the archives of the National Museum are several photos of a person dressed in Dölgöre’s shaman costume. According to a note by Haslund, “the pictures were taken southwest of Hailar and shows Dölgöre Buge outside his tent, ready for a shaman séance. They also show the starting position of the shaman. He has his weight on his left foot, maybe also on his right knee. In his right hand he holds the drumstick and the drum in his left. The tent behind him is covered with a kind of a straw plaiting.” The real story was that, some months after Haslund had obtained the shaman costumes of Dölgöre and Basaman, who had both passed away at that time, Haslund took pictures in front of a provisional wall made of plaited plant fibre, having made a young Daghur Mongol dress up in the two costumes and perform for the camera.
