To the left: Leather canteen with wooden cork made from leather. The pattern on the front is deeply embossed, and clearly marked. Used for transporting water or arki. Height: 27 cm; Width: 33 cm. Height (of cork): 10 cm; Width: 3.5 cm. To the right: Semicircular leather canteen with wooden cork; the canteen is made from one piece of fumigated ox leather, and has seams along the sides and in the base. The leather is embossed with a pattern of ram’s horns, the Eternal Knot, flowers and trees on both sides. On the “shoulders” a hole is drilled through which a leather strap is passed for hanging; on the one side the strap continues through a hole in the top of the cylindrical wooden cork. Used for water or arki.
