Food bowl for a beggar monk
Turned wooden bowl with a dark brown lid, furnished with brass fittings; two wide brass bands are fitted around the top edge and likewise around the foot, with four vertical bands extending between the two wider rings. The circular, slightly domed lid has a circular fitting in the form of a brass coin with a hole in the middle, through which a leather strap is fastened for lifting the lid. Used as a food bowl for a beggar-monk. Height: 11.1 cm; Diameter: 18.8 cm
