Mannequin dressed in woman's costume, Mongolia
This mannequin wears a very different set of headdress and gilded silver foreheadornament used among the women of the Khorchin Mongols, in this case the Korchin of Manchu Ail, a banner related to the Jasaktu Banner. She wears a wadded caftan and matching sleeveless waistcoat in
colourful embroidered silk and satin. The caftan has wide sleeves, tucked up at the ends. It was obtained at Manchu Ail and the waistcoat at the monastery Gegen Sume, both in the Khorchin district.
