Beskrivelse
Mongol prince of high rank with his consort and children, possibly Darkhan Beile. Official seals were administered in Inner Mongolia by the Manchu officials who were recruited from the princely families. Due to their relationship with the Manchu court, the Chahar princes had a special obligation to supply animals to the court, especially horses. For this reason the Chahar mongols were divided into separate banners of Horse, Sheep, Cattle and Camel. Photographer unknown.
