Beskrivelse
Greek terracotta figurine portraying a woman seated on a rounded block with a foot rest, holding a large tympanon in her lap. She is wearing a long chiton and a himation that covers the back of her head, and falls down in front of her knees, and a headband. White cover paint is preserved, as well as pink on the block and red lines on her left wrist, indicating bracelets. The figurine has a height of 11.6 cm. It was found in The Large Deposit in the sanctuary in Lindos, and was most likely dedicated as a votive offering to the goddess. 3D Model based on photogrammetry. The background shows a reconstruction of the Archaic Athana Lindia sanctuary in Lindos on Rhodes. The figurine is published in: C. Blinkenberg 1931. Lindos: Fouilles de l’Acropole 1902-1914 I, Les Petits Objects. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter & Co. P. 536 no. 2215.
