Beskrivelse
Greek terracotta figurine portraying a standing woman - a so-called Kore - holding a red fruit, interpreted as a pomegranate, in her right hand. She is wearing a chiton and himation, with her left hand lifting the chiton. She is standing on a small rectangular plinth. There are remains of white paint, as well as traces of red paint on the hair, diadem, lips, fruit, and on her right arm. The figurine has a height of 14.7 cm. It was found in The Large Deposit in the sanctuary in Lindos, and was most likely dedicated as a votive offering to the goddess. 3D Model based on photogrammetry. The background shows a reconstruction of the Archaic Athana Lindia sanctuary in Lindos on Rhodes. The figurine is published in: C. Blinkenberg 1931. Lindos: Fouilles de l’Acropole 1902-1914 I, Les Petits Objects. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter & Co. P. 520 no. 2147.
