Beskrivelse
A bronze statuette of a striding man wearing a loin cloth and a wide belt, with a high conical headdress resembling the Egyptian white crown. The statuette is considered to portray the Syrian god Reshef. It has a height of 21.2 cm, and was found in the Archaic Layers in connection with the grand Archaic stairs in the Lindian sanctuary. The statuette was most likely a votive offering for Athana Lindia. 3D Model based on photogrammetry. The background shows a reconstruction of the Archaic Athana Lindia sanctuary in Lindos on Rhodes. The statuette is published in: C. Blinkenberg 1931. Lindos: Fouilles de l’Acropole 1902-1914 I, Les Petits Objects. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter & Co. P. 395-399 no. 1572.
