No. 106 (Inventory no. 8979). Tongue shaped dagger (copper or bronze) with short broad tang and 4 nails, three in a line just above the transition between blade and tang. The point of the blade is broken. L 24. 0 cm Provenance: Ur, Mesopotamia. Gift to the National Museum, received in 1929 from the British/American expedition to Ur (number written on the dagger U 10813A). Unpublished. Comments: Zettler and Horne 1998, 169, no. 147/148. DATING: Early Dynastic III.
